Its week two of January 2017 & I'm still on holidays (yes sorry to those who are back at work, the perks of being a teacher, but lets not get started on that topic). In the mail yesterday I received my epson picturemate printer ink (say that five times quickly) & I was incredibly anxious to start my project life for 2017. However I found myself hesitating, I had planned on starting a 6x12 album but I had limited plastic sleeves to begin with. I love the look of 6x12, mainly because I follow Kelly Purkey & gosh she makes it look so good! I needed to come up with a better plan, with sleeves being readily available. I had a coffee or two of course & lucky for me the ideas came thick & fast.
Luck would have it I had two spare 6x8 albums & plenty of plastic sleeves, however I kept thinking about the sleeves & how if it wasn't for them, you really could do any size album. Then I thought about my planners, could I use those? Maybe? Light-bulb moment. Drum roll........This year I'm using the Studio Calico 6x8 Handbooks, & some weeks I might use sleeves, some weeks I won't. I'm going to add dividers similar to those in a planner. I might even throw in a planner page with dates on it. I can add full layouts to my album if I feel like it. The list is endless. I have many ideas. Simply put, my project life for 2017 is going to be mish mash of pretty paper. I do after all call myself that... a pretty paper artist.
I will of course share my pages on Instagram & here on my blog, so feel free to follow along my project life journey. 2017 is going to be my year of doing it my way!
I don't know what this project is going to look like by the end of 2017. I realise I may be using a couple of albums but I'm okay with that. I'm looking forward to beginning something new & exciting, taking my creativity up a notch. I do know this though..... I like that there are no rules. It feels freeing & it feels like this is truly MY PROJECT LIFE.
