Today I'm sharing a traditional scrapbook layout with you that came together in about 1/2 hour, I'm not going to lie, it was a flurry of creativity around here yesterday. And.... I loved it.... Agh it felt so darn good. I felt relaxed, free & it was real. Love that when it happens, when it doesn't come easy like that I go about finding something else to do otherwise it shows in my work. Rushed. Slapped together & has no point.
So the story behind the photo.... Miss nine is becoming more and more independent, she's always been a real 'mum will do it for me kind of kid', she's happy to sit back and watch me make her bed everyday because let's face it, I do a pretty good job! Just after Christmas she called me into her room and stood all proud, chest pushed out, showcasing her made bed and the display of her favorite cuddle toys! Best part, of all it was made her way and I was happy that I now have one less bed to make in the mornings. Easy. Simple. Life. Go girl. (I'm a firm believer that children will do things when they feel comfortable, I always suggest, but never push, just my philosophy).
I am also sharing with you my Project Life Week One! I always get asked what size I'm doing because the sleeves I use vary in my 9x12 album. You can find my story here on that.
I have been creating Project Life layouts since 2012 and I have never waned, in fact my vigour for this way of documenting has only increased. I can't wait to branch out and try new things in 2016 when it comes to this process of documenting. The best part is the family love it just as much as I do, they are constantly asking to look through the albums, and why not they bring us so much joy, stories of the past will do that. Right?
I've almost finished week two, so I will share that here later today.
