I've been reading the book Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up by Marie Kondo for a little while now & I'm thrilled to tell you that I have simplified, organised and stored...... in my wardrobe so far.
To be fair, its a work-in-progress #inmystudio , yep I'm not afraid to say it I'm a hoarder in this room, honestly. If you visited my house, you would see that in every other room its very minimalist, lots of clean lines and no clutter, even my garden exemplifies this, then you'd walk into my studio and you'd think it was owned by someone else completely.
Don't get me wrong, my studio is not messy, it's very Virgo neat really, everything has a place, it's roomy, I can spread out, but it does have more.... stuff in it than the other rooms in my house that's for sure. HOWEVER, I LOVE IT. FIST PUMP. THIS IS MY HOBBY. I CAN CREATE IN HERE. I DON'T HAVE TO CLEAN UP IF I DON'T WANT TO, I GET SO EXCITED IN HERE, WHY AM I SHOUTING? Seriously it's my space and as much as I love my kiddos, I'm a normal mother and I love MY SPACE, not space away from them, but something that is mine alone (I do share every now and again, if they play nice).
So getting back to the book, you should definitely read it, my studio is up next, although I love my crafty goodies I can honestly say I do have enough and maybe just maybe I need to 'clean' up and giveaway anything that does not #sparkjoy. I'm hoping it gives me a
motivated mindset that can inspire me to create more often.
If you need me, I might be under a few piles of paper, fabric & stamps. Send coffee and and chocolate.
