Hello Sunday
I had all good intentions of posting this on Thursday however I'm not sure where last week went? Is it just me or are the weeks just flying by, blink & it's almost Monday again.
I was asked a month or two ago to contribute to Studio Calico's blog with a layout that used up some scrap paper, perfect. You can find the blog post
. I have a huge basket with scrap paper & all kinds of embellishments on my studio desk, so to be able to use some of it was therapeutic. I loved this photo of miss seven taken at Christmas at a local cafe, the cafe has a warm ambiance to it, & outside there were fairy lights & the atmosphere was magical. I wanted to emulate that in my layout & I think I did this perfectly. If you follow me on Instagram you will know that I have a perfect relationship with my sewing machine (so far, she hasn't let me down) so I ran stitching up down the page & sewed the scrap circle punches onto the 'hello' paper from the scrapbook kit 'Far Far Away' from Studio Calico.
I finished it off with a scrap of paper along the bottom of the layout, some wood veneers, enamel dots & sequins to embellish & I was completely satisfied with how it turned out. Thank you to those that left lovely comments on the blog post, it's always nice to hear positive feedback on something you have creatively worked on. Thanks also have to go to Studio Calico for sharing it, I was thrilled to be asked again to contribute to this wonderful creative company & also personally proud to do it.
Hope you have had a great weekend, enjoy week thirteen!
xx
