This is how our usual Sunday mornings flow. We wake to a newspaper being thrown at the door, we rise & have a coffee, the kids are chatting (love that sound) bacon & eggs are sizzling in the pan & we are peacefully reading the newspaper. Bliss.
Today as I was reading an article on the re election of the NSW premier Mike Baird, don't worry I'm not going all political on you, he was interviewed & asked about his wife & marriage. He was quoted as saying ~
"There are difficult times you face in life and in relationships. It's a matter of persevering through them because it's rare these days to have those long-term relationships but you're so much richer for them. I look back now and through all the history, all the ups and downs, I am so much richer for having her by my side" (The Sunday Telegraph, 2015 p. 19)
These words stood out for me, maybe as a reminder I am not sure. But what I took from it is this, I AM a persevere-r with everything in my life, not only my relationships, I persevere with my studies, with my creative work, with everyday commitments. And so does the love of my life. If you don't persevere with anything you are worse off for it. That's my belief. Don't give up on your dream. Work hard for it. Work everyday. It builds character. Together we are showing our children perseverance & how it can overcome anything. How to fight hard. Stick things out. We are pretty proud of that around here.
Happy Sunday everyone.
