I've been asked a few times on Instagram why planner addicts or planner nerds as some may say have so many planners, the first response that pops in my head is why the hell not, obviously you have never seen or put one in your hands & you just don't get it. Maybe they will never get it?
Would you ask why an artist has so many brushes?
In all seriousness though, because planner addicts are very serious about their addiction, you can actually use various planners for various things. Here's a run down on my own addiction & uses.
1. Midori Travelers Notebook - this wondrous creature is used as my art journal & travel diary. It's perfect for this because it's made of leather that requires a worn in look therefore you can throw it in your bag and not worry about scratching or bending as this actually adds to the character of a Midori, you can add & subtract notebooks within quick & easy. What I like most about my Midori is I think it will never go out of style. That's a big plus in a world of consumerism.
2. Silver A5 Filofax - oh this was my dream planner, when it became available with the gold Filofax, it became my unicorn. I needed it, really needed it. I use this planner at home on my desk for weekly appointments, to do lists, keeping the kids organised with school etc. It's a great size, it's beautiful on the inside, similar to my Midori, leather. You can not go wrong with a Filofax, they are after all the most popular & I can see why.
3. Kikki K - Notebook Monokrom - this is only a recent purchase here, I use this for work purposes, I take observation notes on children in our classroom, so it's great because it holds a pen & has a pocket on the inside for stickers. Its also woven, so I can wipe away any nasties it might get on it at work. God forbid.
4. Kikki K Medium Gold Planner - I have two medium planners, the gold & a pink, these are swapped over every few months & I use these for planning my blog post, project life photos & journaling. Its more of a creative planner if you like. These are a great size, not to small & you can still decorate the pages if you wish. Love my Kikki K planners, they come in lots of color choices too.
I have a few more planners that are on my shelf & not currently in use, however, I do swap them over from time to time. Every planner nerd will tell you they have a planner wish list. I would love a Kate Spade, I tried to buy one in Hawaii in December but they were sold out, I will find one though, I'm determined to find one. I have also ordered a black Midori, I will share it with you soon.
Have a great day all.
