Hello September Mood Board
Pinterest what can I say that you haven't already heard from me before, yarda yarda yarda, love, love, love Pinterest. Whats not to love about it, oh okay yes probably one thing, it's addictive & takes up way too much of my time. These are my favourite pins from September. Check out my Instagram feed for links to products. I don't really need a new kitchen update but it sure could do with a little one, the cupboards are beginning to show a bit of wear & tear, what you'd expect from a kitchen that is nearly 13 years old. Bathroom, yes, it's blue, those colours along with terracotta were really in vogue at the time, so yes, definitely could do with a refurbishment. Oh and cookies, well who doesn't like cookies? Strange if you don't. Anyway, here's to October & pinning way to many pictures.
so I can keep up-to-date with my favourite blogs, I was reading Dear Lizzy's
yesterday & she was asked to do a Q & A, it was fun to read what inspires her & what she is creating. She asked 'us' 'you too' to follow along, so I though why not, I might learn more about me as I answer the questions. You too can follow along, post a reply in her blog post to let her know by Monday.
1. What am I working on right now?
I'm currently working on updating my blog, adding a Project Life Gallery, taking photographs of my layouts & uploading them to my iMac, it's taking a bit longer than I first anticipated. I'm almost finished a mini-album as well. I always seem to have something on the go & half-finished.
2. How long does it take me to create a project?
It really does depend on what I'm working on & how big the project is, if it's a Project Life layout it can be 2 to 3 hours sometimes longer if I'm using the sewing machine or silhouette cameo, as I have to set these up.
3. What are my favourite things to create with at the moment?
I love working with journaling cards, paper-clips, wood veneers & enamel dots. I subscribe to the project life kits at
so I can't go past these when it comes to creating anything really. I also can't live without my iPhone or sewing machine.
4. How do I become inspired and stay inspired?
Well it's a funny thing, I'm finding that I get inspired when I'm under pressure, when I have something else due like an assignment or a big weekend planned I usually am more creative & come up with all these ideas. It's hard to stop & create, but I tend to write the ideas down & come back to them when I have a chance. Pinterest is a great place to get inspiration, a design of tile or a colour of a cushion. I love Spotify, so I will play music when I'm working to inspire & keep me motivated. I love any type of music too, from classical to the blues.
5. What is my signature style?
I would have to say pastel colours & lots of white, simplistic, hate to much fuss. Less is more.
