Hello Sunday. It's Fathers Day here in Australia so this will be a short post. I wanted to share with you what I have been up to this week here in my studio.
I went through some old magazines & started cutting out photos or prints that I can use in either my art journal or for any projects in the future. Fete magazine is gorgeous, I love purchasing this & look forward to sitting down & browsing through with a coffee in hand. It's an Australian publication by two South Australian ladies, it comes out quarterly each year. To find out more or to subscribe go to www.fetepress.com.au
It was a special day here on Tuesday, I found this pin on Pinterest & I can relate to it on so many levels. Ideas, dreams & love are my stars at the moment.
I downloaded a new app on my iPad for Miss Six called 'Faceq' , it is a fun app, & it creates images of either a boy or girl, where you can design & decorate your own characters. Miss ten is a lover of Kawaii, so she's been busy creating images or drawing them in her art journal. I must say she is getting very good at it. I will ask her if I can share some with you. Miss Six created this image of me above, with a camera around my neck & said she couldn't find an iPhone picture. How funny.
Whilst shopping in town on Thursday I went to a local home wares store, the store is called Twig and Moss & I have found lots of great things for my home here before, so I often go in & look. They have an online store as well - check them out. When I saw this 'Hello' sign above I had a small fit. I had to have it for my studio, & lucky for me it was on sale. It's heavy, huge & yellow, but oh so gorgeous. I'm very happy with it on my wall.
Friday & Saturday
I love being organised, I've mentioned this before in past posts on my blog, it's not a secret at all. I simply do not like being dis-organised, I have three children, I'm doing a degree at university & I work part-time, if I wasn't organised majority of the time you would find me in a ball in the corner of the room rocking. When I have time & I'm feeling creative, part of my project life process is planning or creating some title cards or making some embellishments for that weeks layouts. I find also it gets me excited for that weeks layout & encourages me to get it done. These cross-stitched tags below were posted on my Instagram account yesterday & I linked it to Amy Tangerine, I was excited that she messaged me to ask me to hashtag #amytangerine on it. Yay. I love her stuff & have her Project Life kits as well. Awesome stuff.
So as you can see it's been a busy & exciting week here, next week will be even busier, & I hope to share with you this weeks project life layouts soon. If I don't say so myself, they might just be my best yet.
Yours in creating
