I'm sharing with you my project life catch up from over the weekend. If you haven't already read
I'm up to date. It was a challenge & I love challenges. Above is the beginning of week twenty-seven, can you remember the Studio Calico Kit 'Antiquary' from October 2013? Well I still have that kit. [Hi my name is Karen & I'm a kit hoarder] I'm actually setting my own challenge.... to start using the kits that I receive, as hard as that is going to be for me, I'm determined to do it. Lets see how I go.
This kit had so many lovely journal cards & embellishments in it. I still have some left over. What do you do with your left over journal cards? I file them away for future use. I used some of my own handmade cork embellishments that I circle punched & month stamped. I love creating these. I have a few ready for the next couple of layouts.
I'm loving this layout, I love the crisp colours & the clean photography. I used some scrap paper & cut it into strips & sewed them together. The sewing machine has been getting quite a workout lately.
Week twenty-eight saw the beginning of something I'm really proud of, I've taken my creativity to the next level, I've been thinking about changing my studio around for a while now, making it more functional & better for working at. I started by getting organised. I didn't take Studio Calico's workshop on workspace organisation, I wish I did, because even though I consider myself a fairly organised person, any help is appreciated of course. Above is a photograph of workspace ideas on Pinterest & my own organisation of cotton threads for stitching on project life cards.
Thanks for reading my blog. Hope you were able to fit in some time creating today.
