For two weeks now I have made it my mission to get caught up in my project life, read
about how that came about. I'm lucky, I wasn't really that far behind, but even still, it really bothered me. I love starting and finishing projects. I do project life for me, for my family & to tell my story to generations to come, not for any other reason.
I have been creative & creating since I can remember, I need to be creative everyday, it's like an urge I can't explain, I don't lose it ever, it's in my blood, my mother, my mothers mother, my father my fathers father, my sister, my uncle, you get the picture were all the same. Project Life is the perfect creative project for me, it covers all bases, story telling, photography & pretty supplies. The best.
Week Twenty Five.
Above is the beginning of my week twenty five. I love a minimalist look, lots of white, not overly fussy pages, keeping it simple is the key to getting it finished. I certainly don't rush it though, I believe you can tell when it's rushed, it looks messy & thrown together. I take my time. I plan, choose my supplies & journal cards to match my photographs. This is important I think, & lately it's really worked for me to have this routine.
This is the remainder of week twenty five above, I sometimes require three pages to fit all my photos for the week. Some weeks I have plenty of photos, others not so much. I used some card stock to type on, using my computer to do the journaling part. I'm not a huge fan of my handwriting, it's not too bad but I'm a perfectionist so type works well for me.
Week Twenty Six.
Week twenty six was another busy week for me, but still a favourite week, my middle daughter Ruby learnt to tie her own shoe laces, for this bubba girl it was a huge milestone. I also filled the first handbook for 2014 & needed to move on to no. two album for the remainder of 2014. That in its self is a milestone.
News of the Week.
Excited to finally view Ali Edwards news on her blog & website, if you haven't heard you can read it
. I've pre-ordered her monthly subscription to her 'Story Stamp' & waiting for the 'Story Kit' to come up for pre-order, simplly can't wait. Ali Edwards, Elise Blaha Cripe & Studio Calico are some of my favourite's in the scrapbooking world, I follow them everyday along with most of you no doubt.
I was giddy with excitement when I saw these this morning on my Instagram account. I took a leap of faith sharing my work over the Internet, learning how to take great photos with my iPhone & finding my niche & I think it's paying off.
