My girls love Lego, I'm not sure I have met a child who doesn't love Lego. I loved Lego as a child and had a whole city under my bed on a piece of Masonite board that could be pulled out to play whenever I wanted. It was brilliant.
The amount of Lego we have in our house is ridiculous, it's everywhere, including in the vacuum cleaner if the girls leave it lying about.
After Christmas we needed to do something about how we were storing our Lego, it needed to be in one central area, where all pieces could be found easily and quickly, and the finished product could be displayed. So a trip to Ikea was planned. What better place than Ikea for storage really - right?
Here is our solution.....
Three Trofast units with eighteen storage tubs - brilliant. We now have enough tubs for every colour, plus tubs for instructions, large mats, wheels and Lego people. The girls are loving it, they have played everyday with their Lego, building, pulling apart and building again. I love it.
Hope this helps someone looking for ideas on how to store Lego, if you use pinterest, you will find loads more ideas, trust me. I follow my sisters blog Frog Spot, you can find it here and she has a post on her Lego storage too.
